I grew up in Houston Texas. After studying Bioengineering at Texas A&M University I attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in the heart of the Texas Medical Center. I then completed 5 years of general surgery training also at Baylor. Following my general surgery training I completed a one year minimally invasive surgery fellowship focusing on anti-reflux surgery and minimally invasive colon surgery also at Baylor. My private practice experience began in Melbourne Florida in 2001 when I joined MIMA.

I have a broad experience in a wide range of surgical procedures involving the gastrointestinal tract for both malignant and non-malignant diseases. I perform many of these procedures laparoscopicaly, including anti-reflux surgery, colon surgery, gallbladder removal and both inguinal and incisional hernia repairs. I also have extensive experience in the surgical treatment of breast cancer.
