Dr. Weldon is a Board Certified Internist who works out of the MIMA Palm Bay office at 5305 Babcock Street. He sees patients at both the Palm Bay Hospital and at Holmes Regional Medical Center and he is taking new patients.

His interests include the management of hypertension, elevated cholesterol, diabetes, arthritis, cancer screening, preventive care and general illnesses of the elderly. Dr. Weldon works closely with all of the specialists at MIMA and makes use of the extensive laboratory and radiology imaging services that MIMA offers.

He first joined MIMA in 1987 after serving 6 years as a physician in the United States Army. Originally from New York, Dr Weldon obtained his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and his medical degree from SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine.

Dr. Weldon left MIMA in 1994 when he was elected to the US House of Representatives for Florida’s District 15 where he served for 14 years. During that time he continued to see patients part time at the Veterans clinic in Melbourne.

He serves on several charity boards involved in supporting the nation’s space program. He has been married to his wife, Nancy, for 30 years and has two children, Katie, 22 and David, 11.
