Dr. Scott Gold grew up in Miami, FL. He completed his undergraduate training at Emory University in Atlanta and received his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine internship at Salem Hospital in Salem, MA and his Neurology Residency at North Carolina Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where he served as Chief Resident. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Gold is the Medical Director of the Multiple Sclerosis Center of Brevard. He is affiliated with the American Academy of Neurology, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and MS Centers of FL Foundation.
Besides his dedication to clinical practice, Dr. Gold is a clinical investigator. He has been involved in medical research for over 15 years. He has been an investigator in studies involving multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, stroke, migraines and epilepsy.
In 2012, Dr. Gold received recognition for the delivery of Quality Care for Heart Stroke by the National Committee for Quality Assurance.
He and his wife, Genie, met in Miami, were married in 1979, and have lived in Melbourne Beach since 1984. They have 3 sons. Their interests include travel and family reunions.
